We’re delighted that you are interested in enrolling your child in our Preschool! As further guidance is issued by the Virginia Department of Health in light of COVID-19, we’ll keep updating this page. Here’s what you need to know about enrollment:

When do I register my child for preschool?

We normally open registration at the end of January for the fall term, but you can always register before that if you know your plans. Just fill out our Inquiry Form to let us know which class you’re interested in. Note: You will be asked to create an account with Brightwheel, but don’t worry: we’ll delete your account if you choose not to enroll with us.

Can I come for a tour and see the school?

We would love to meet you and show you around our school! You can contact us to request a tour of our facility, but we ask you to adhere to established health and safety precautions when you visit.

What if the registration period has passed?

We welcome registration inquiries on a rolling basis. This means that there may well be a space open for your child. If there is not, we will place you on a waiting list and contact you if a space opens.

My child is already enrolled at LLVP. do I need to register again?

We receive an updated registration each year for each child. This lets us know what class you want for your child and if any personal details have changed since the previous school year.

What do I need to bring with me when I come to register my child for school?

• New students only: An original birth certificate or passport. Virginia requires us to see an original and record the number; we do not keep a copy.

• All students: Check or cash for the registration fee.

• All students: 

  • A complete the registration process online.

  • A completed health form prior to the start of school. Your child cannot attend school without it.

What if the class I want fills up? 

Very often, we have changes in our enrollment after open registration. We recommend that you register your child for your second choice class, and then have your child’s name added to our wait list, because many times changes occur and spaces come open during the spring.

What happens after I register? 

If we have an opening, you will be notified of your child’s enrollment. We will make class assignments and teacher assignments over the summer as well, and this information will be made available to you before the beginning of school.
